#11 Bartholomae Article Reflection

I thought the article, "Inventing the University" by David Bartholomae, was really interesting. Even though at the beginning it was overwhelming and hard to understand, once I started to understand what the author was talking about it made me think. It made me realize that even though writing is hard students are capable, we just need to find our voice and learn the conventions. We have to appropriate. The article stated that many students struggle a lot with writing to fit the discourse. This made me feel better because it made me realize that I am not the only one that struggles with this, its a hard thing to do but eventually, if I try hard enough, I will get the hang of it.
