Free Writing #1- My first dog

I am a huge animal lover. Ever since I was little I have liked all kinds of animals: dogs, cats, mice, ferrets, snakes, etc. Unfortunately, my mom was not a huge fan of them and never let me have any. I remember when I was little my grandma knew how much I wanted a dog so she bought me one, and then my mom gave it away. I was so upset. Years later when I was about 8 or 9 years old we went to the flea market. A random lady went up to us and told us she was selling chihuahua puppies, she opened her purse and showed us the puppies, they were so cute. My sister and her boyfriend bought one and the lady said she would give us a second one half price, I begged and begged my step dad to get it until he finally said yes. My mom didn't like the idea of keeping it but the longer we kept it the more she fell in love with him. It's the first pet she has ever let me keep, and we still have him to this day.
