The first thing I did for my writing process was reread the article and highlight, underline and make notes on the margin about useful information. Then I thought of what I wanted to write about, this is where I started to think about my thesis statement. I made a concept map about the information I wanted to include. Then, I looked over the article again to pull out more information that I needed, now that I knew what my thesis was. I started writing for a while then I took a break. After my break I wrote my first body paragraph, then took a break and wrote my body paragraph number two until I finally got to my conclusion.
I think taking brain breaks in between paragraphs worked well for me. That way I was not in a rush to just get it done and I was not stressing out about it. Now that I look at the steps I did I realize I did not go back and reread my paper. Next time I know to reread my paper multiple times to find any errors I made. In order to make my process better I need to think about what to write before hand and plan out my paper, including planning on how to organize it because I struggles with organization.
